For reals..
So the other night, me (Ryan) and Stacey, the top half of BLACKFOX, did a duo set at Smith's Olde Bar's Atlanta Room, and Duncan Sheik was playing the big upstairs room. I figured we'd have nice staged rehearsal and play to no one, but instead we had some people actually come down from DS's show and hang with us, and they totally dug it. We had one of those nights where we just played and sang and everybody came along.
Later, I came home and bought Duncan's latest record, because I'm sure his beneficent spirit had something to do with it.
tay0 | possible futures
The next tay0 record is loosely scheduled for early 2013, and if you want a little preview, head over to Soundcloud to hear some preliminary mixes, heavy on texture and environment and light on compositional details (for now).
Rat Mass, the experimental metal project from Ryan Taylor and his pal Mitchell Sosebee, has released a 30-minute maelstrom of chugging, grinding guitar and drum ecstasy called EP1, because hopefully there will be an EP2.

As long as that town is Decatur, GA!
Swampy space gospel with a retro-futuristic swing
Not too long ago, as a little group project, we made a record of science-fiction inspired grooves anchored by Stacey Cargal's lap steel. It was very well received, but it's currently out of print. Well, don't look now, but we're going to re-release it as part of the Somerset Sound launch, and it might even be free! Hit us up over on the Contact page and we'll make sure you know when it happens.
From up Minneapolis way, this rocket-powered trio keeps the garage rock dream alive with thick guitars, Infectious shouts, and never-say-die rhythms played by guys who just have to be robots. The new record is called Seriousness and you need it.
